Greetings, and welcome to the Advent Blog for Wilpshire, Mellor, and Langho Methodist Churches. We are three churches in the Blackburn Circuit, North Lancashire District of The Methodist Church of Great Britain. As we seek our way forward in the future we want to know where God is leading us. This season of Advent, traditionally a time of prayer and reflection in the run-up to Christmas, we are reading the book of Acts. As we read, we will prayerfully ask the question, ‘Where does God want us to go?’
To assist these prayerful readings, this blog will offer reflections from a wide variety of people on the daily readings from Acts. While intended for the members of Langho, Mellor, and Wilpshire, we invite anyone to read, reflect, and comment on the posts. We recognise that scripture is best reflected upon by varieties of people and from many across the theological spectrum. Please feel free to post your own thoughts in the comments!
